Ancient Courthouses's Palace
The Medieval Palace, located between Piazza San Secondo and Piazza Statuto was probably built in the 13th century. In the past it was the seat of courts, trials and judicial, disputes.
Together with the Palazzo del Comune (Town Hall) located at the front, it was the institutional center of the ancient city of Asti.
The Medieval Remains
Unfortunately, the historical information regarding the palace is very scarce. Only a few elements that refer to the ancient medieval building remain: the portico, largely modified over the centuries, and the large windows decorated with cotto and sandstone.
