The Foundation

Since 2016, the Fondo Giov-Anna Piras association, commissioned by Flavio Piras, has been based in the building that between 1930 and 1980 housed the warehouse of the Birrificio Fratelli Metzger (Brewery), an example of an industrial structure from the late nineteenth century.
The Foundation was established with the aim of conserving, enhancing and promoting knowledge of a very broad cultural heritage.

The Cultural Heritage

This heritage consists of the collections of the eclectic Flavio Piras, whose interests ranged from modern and contemporary art and photography, to music and fine publishing, including food and wine.
The collection of modern and contemporary art which brings together many illustrious names of the twentieth century, with particular attention to the photographic and pictorial avant-gardes, is off particular importance.
