Asti enchants for the history, art and culture that can be breathed along its districts, streets and squares. A city whose charm is further enhanced by the interpenetration of ancient and modern, a place to experience opportunities for recreation and entertainment within a unique setting.
You will be able to discover the fashion side of Asti along some of its most historic streets, such as Corso Vittorio Alfieri, the elegant main artery that cuts the city from East to West dotted with eighteenth-century buildings and home to many shops, restaurants and bars.
And then Piazza San Secondo, where the main artisan shops and commercial activities were already concentrated in the Middle Ages.
The shopping area is developed today along the pedestrian stretch of Corso Vittorio Alfieri and Corso Dante, along the streets that branch off from Piazza San Secondo (Via Cavour, Via Garibaldi and Via Pelletta) and in Via Garetti, the street of the nightlife, full of wine bars and taverns.
Leaving the main streets you can then get lost in the enchanting medieval streets, where you can discover small shops of antiques, art and objects.
During this walk through Asti suspended between present and past, we recommend that you make some stops to discover the typical flavors of this wonderful city.
Sip a glass of Asti Spumante D.O.C.G. in the cafes of the center or taste the local sweets and artisan nougat, one of the municipal denomination products that you can find in the city. Other examples are the Limonina, the golden celery, the Cerrato tomato, the Marcon tomato and agnolotto gobbo, all gastronomic excellences of this amazing territory.
